DIY Moss Zinc Pots

Here's a quick and easy way to add a little SPRING
green to your decor.

I do love me some green moss!
It's a no-fail, no watering, and no green thumb required project!
I've had these mini zinc pots for awhile, just waiting to be used.
They are only about 5 inches tall, so these small styrofoam balls
fit perfectly on top, and even nestled in about 1/4 of the way.
Supplies needed:
Super green moss (found at Hobby Lobby or Michael's)
Small styrofoam balls
Hot glue gun
Pots (clay pots would work as well and can be painted)
Begin by gluing small sections of the moss onto the styrofoam.
Watch those fingers! Ouch!
Fill in and cover until ball is 3/4 covered.
Then set moss ball in pot. I squeezed my down to secure it,
but you could also glue it if you want.
Make as many as you'd like. Place them together or apart.
Here, I put one on a side table near some books.
This moss pot adds some "life" to the bookshelf.
I also tried them all three in a row on the mantle
for a pop of green color.

Have fun adding a little "green" to your decor!
xoxo

  6. Love these! Have to make some now! You know they sell these plastic finger tip things (think like a glove but not connected to the hand) that you can wear to protect those fingers!
